THIRD PARTY ONLINE COURSES The trustees of iFTI and Finishing First/LMCI LMP took action to provide assistance to our affiliates who are also struggling during these times. After reviewing the finances, programs and operational plans, the trustees voted unanimously to cover the costs of Third Party distance learning courses in the iFTI’s Learning Management System (LMS) through March 31, 2022. For the past month, the iFTI Curriculum department has uploaded new courses, updated eLearning lessons, and added new course materials in the iFTI Learning Management System (LMS). For your reference, view the following links:

The list includes:
 
FTI 7605 or PNT 7605 P3TEC Preferred Technician – It is a 16-hour Preferred Technician course developed by iFTI and P3TEC to help create new job opportunities for our members and to mitigate installation failures for the manufacturer. We’ve linked 11 videos (product and installation) to this course and uploaded several downloadable resources. The course has a student and instructor version. iFTI Director Anton Ruesing discusses the benefits of the course in the video below.
PANDEMIC RESILIENCY TRAINING AT DC 35

This is the first pandemic resiliency training (COR 198 Pandemic Resiliency) with the apprentices at DC 35. Bernie Mizula helped out during the initial class.
LMS TASK FORCE MONTHLY MEETING The task force is the landing place for all feedback and best practices. The group meets monthly to share and discuss updates and issues pertaining to the LMS and overall system
administration, with topics including (but not limited to):
 
• DISCUSSION/DEMO OF THE MONTH
• LMS UPDATES
• NEW/UPCOMING FEATURES    

    
UNITE TRAINING
The IUPAT is launching Unite to all District Councils over the next few months.  Unite is a consolidated IU platform for Membership, Education & Training, Communications, Events, and Organizing functions.  Some of the highlights are summarized in the Unite Flyer.
iFTI NEW ONLINE COURSE TEMPLATE
 The Curriculum team has been working with the developer to design a new online course template that addresses some of the requested changes from the District Council users.Improve template to avoid “powerpoint” look.Discourage “click throughs” by locking the seekbar.Include more interactions to encourage engagement.
